AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities:

Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of 4 sales consultants.
Lead the sales team to consistently achieve the dealership target of 80+ vehicle sales per month.
Coach and develop team members on sales processes, customer engagement, and closing techniques.
Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular feedback, recognition, and corrective action.
Assist in closing deals, structuring financing, and resolving escalated customer concerns.
Collaborate with other departments (F&I, Service, Operations) to ensure smooth dealership operations.
Maintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure accurate use of DealerCenter DMS for sales tracking, customer management, and reporting.

Qualifications:

4+ years of proven management or supervisory experience in automotive sales.
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain sales staff.
Strong leadership and motivational skills, capable of driving a team to 80+ sales per month.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
Experience with DealerCenter or similar DMS/CRM systems.
Must hold or be able to obtain a valid automotive sales license (per state requirements).
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license; must pass pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen.

Responsibilities:

Lead daily sales meetings and set team objectives.
Support consultants with customer interactions and deal structures.
Monitor inventory presentation, assist in pricing strategies, and promote sales campaigns.
Develop and execute strategies to drive showroom and digital traffic.
Maintain accurate sales and customer data in DealerCenter DMS.
Foster a customer-first culture that builds loyalty and repeat business.
Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and team performance.

MYCAR pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training and through the first 160 hours of selling, after which set pay through sales become the primary base of pay.
